Privacy policy

Last updated

The short version: files you use with the tools stay on your device, there are no accounts, and nothing about you is sold.

SmallBizDesk is run by Muhammad Yahya (“we” on this page). This policy explains what information the site handles and how.

Files you open in the tools

Every tool runs inside your web browser. When you choose or drop a file, your browser reads it on your device. The file and its contents are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. Results are created on your device and saved through your browser's normal download. When you close or reload the page, the data the page was holding is cleared from memory.

Information stored on your device

If you switch between the light and dark theme, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site looks the same next time. Some tools may also offer to remember settings between visits, such as the business name on your invoices, and save them the same way. All of this stays on your device: we can't see it, and you can delete it at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser.

Information collected when you visit

The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like any web host, its servers record technical information needed to deliver pages and keep the site secure, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Hostinger handles this for us as a service provider; its privacy policy explains its own practices. The files you open in the tools are never part of this, because they never leave your device.

We don't use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Accounts and payments

There are no accounts and nothing to buy, so the site doesn't collect names, email addresses or payment details.

Messages you send us

If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include and use it only to reply. Emails are kept in our mailbox, which Hostinger provides. Ask and we'll delete your messages.

Children

The site is meant for adults who run or work in a business. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

Because the tools don't collect personal information, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have written to us and want that correspondence deleted, ask through the contact page.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Significant changes, such as a new service that handles visitor information, will be described here before they take effect.
